I shot an eland last summer at 550 yards with 250 grain swift a-frame loads my son made for my deluxe model - bullet made complete pass through both front shoulders. The accuracy of power of the 340wby was legend for decades. If your remotely on the fence about a good one. My conventional hunting rifle in a deluxe always shoots the first 2 in same hole. Ya ya I know if I love it why not buy it - lol if the bolt was on the other side of the rifle a deal would have been made and I don't need another 340 or wby!
