Watched YouTube video of ffp vortex viper gen ii reticle and can’t really see it it?

It's extremely hard in video to get the reticle and the image in focus, almost all videos where the image is in focus the reticle is hard to see.

That said ffp reticles are harder to see on low power, I have a difficult time seeing most of them in low light at 3x or so.

What ffp do you have?

i have the scope I the video. I think the video needs some narration. Where was the target? 25 yds, 50, 100?

what was the scope zoomed to? At 15x-25x, mine is quite visible. At 5x, I'm centering between the big posts.

remember. At 25 - 100 yds, you can be a ways off and kill an animal. I'm not sure I need a reticle there. At 100-300, the reticle is quite useful at 10x. At 300+, I may use the reticle and will have it on 15-25x to see it well.

also, the deer are non reflective for the most part.

look at the Meopta R1 MRAD reticle. Wow! That donut would even show in this video! and the illuminated plus sign if you were closer to dusk!

I have both ffl and sfp scopes most are Vortex I agree hunting in low light and short ranges the ffl scopes are a little hard to see the small crosshairs on low power I prefer sfp in these conditions at long range ffp is hard to beat But I am old school

Meopta is nice but I can't find an MOA one in stock outside of the zplex.

How has the viper gen2 held up for you? Tracks well and holds zero?

I ow
So if you watch the video on ffp vortex viper gen ii reticle you can't even see the reticle when zoomed out at 100 yards. Even with the reticle light illuminated it was hard to see. This is the first time I've witnessed a ffp reticle. Is that really how it is? If so I think I'll stick with sfp for my type hunting. The link below is the video I'm talking about.

I own two so the video is a very poor representative of the product. And all of my scopes ...14 now are FFP.....old eyes...!
