Wanted to show a Remington 700 drop-in bullpup chassis I've been developing

Have you thought through the trigger process?

The trigger feel/break would seem critical.

Just askin'.

Roy, oh yes we have thought through the trigger process, and in fact have a patent for the trigger and safety assembly. Without going too far into the design, there are multiple operating rods that eliminate any binding turned to the ten thousandth, riding in custom bushings we machine correspondingly to the ten thousandth for an ultra close, yet smooth fit. We have had the trigger hooked up and functional and it feels great. We are doing a small redesign on how it all hooks together to ease our initial installation, but how it works seems very solid!

Hey guys, been a while since an update and I have some news :)

First, here is prototype "V2". It will be done in a few weeks, and I think it looks real nice:

Adjustable length of pull 13.5"-15.5", recoil pad cant, cheekpiece height and horizontal position, all adjustable without tools. Recoil pad height is adjustable with an allen wrench as well.

The first prototype was made functional, a few small pieces I left out because I could already tell there were ergonomic improvements to be made. Our prototype trigger based off an Xmark gained about 4oz of pull weight, and went from 2.5 to 2.75 lbs, with no real change in feel. I was pretty pleased with that.

As soon as V2 is done, it's getting shipped off to Timney for R&D on a custom trigger unit they will be making for this chassis. Really excited to see what they come up with, and based on my prototype V1 it should feel great.

For those who don't like the look of a chassis, I have another bullpup system in the works with a major stock manufacturer...it will start getting worked on hard once this chassis is fully sorted out.

Holy Crap! Tyler! I just realized, you're that 14 year old kid! I remember reading your posts for several years. You were always smart and logical. Glad to see you're making a career of this.

I think your on to something here. I have been interested in this design since seeing Shawn's LRKM design but wanted a few things different for the kind of shooting I do and yours looks to address most of those issues.

Interestingly a 6.5 4S or 6.5 Sherman SS in a light to medium carry gun was what I was looking at for this kind of a chassis. Your already on that!

Interested to see the final results!

Nice Job!

Glad you guys remember me. I feel like I learned a lot from this and a few other sites, and along with my own knowledge gained from my own shooting experience am able to work towards offering a truly unique product.

My feelings on this project are that if I can adequately take care of traditional bullpup issues, that is bolt throw and trigger, along with length of pull and other ergonomic concerns, that I can really bring some advantages to not only the long range shooting but also general bolt action scene. I'll share more updates as I have things worthwhile to show!

V2 is to be done here in a few weeks. I'll post some pics before it's off for trigger unit r&d. Real excited to see what Timney comes up with vs our prototype trigger.
