My son was with me last week in Kansas hunting white tail deer. He watched one shot and is hooked.
We are looking for a reasonably priced rifle in the 6.5 up to .30 caliber. Something that is easy to shoot and easy on brass. This will be his first long range rifle and he has a limited budget.
Please let us know if you have one that shoots well you will part with.
Update: a bit more info as we are zeroing in:
1: Tactical stock, like an A-5 but does not have to be a McMillian
2: Heavy 26" or longer barrel length and a brake would be nice
3: Need to be able to do 1000 yards
4: Leaning toward a 300 Win. Might consider something a bit smaller if it will go the distance.
Thanks!
Jeff
