Straight pull bolt action. Gee where have I heard this before as a recent innovation? How about a 1911 for $35?
Brings such a smile when you see these ads and realize what costs are today. Only if we knew of "hoarding" back then!
I paid $149 for my Savage 110C .270 Win in 1968, still have it! New barrel and my go to rifle just to have fun.

My 35rem was about 7 times that in the mid 90s but what a great design and round! I load 200gn Hornady FTX on top of Leverevolution. With the Weaver K4 scope and see thru rings, it is an excellent short range or all around brush gun.
I use to hunt the Adirondack Mountains and the .35 Rem was PERFECT for those fast short range shots at bucks and black bears.
Can you even imagine a gun manufacturer doing this now?
