Anyone running VV 570 with 180s or 195s in the 28?
You bet yah.. It is the best for my 28 Nos.. I have used Retumbo, R-33, H-1000,, 82 grains of N-570 with a 195 will shoot one hole at a 100 .. 1.5 inch group at 600.. Great stuff but it does burn barrels a little faster than other powders.. I get the best ES and SD with N-570.. I have started shooting it in my 300 win too and it really tightened things up.
I'm having a 28 nosler made for next year. Been buying components for the last couple months. Everyone believes in this powder so much I bought 10 pounds back in December for. Maybe enough to shoot out a barrel and go again.Anyone running VV 570 with 180s or 195s in the 28?
I will agree with that, I have one with a Brux #5 at 27" plus brake and another with a Proof CF Sendero at 28" plus brake. NEVER again will I exceed 26" on a rifle unless I know it will ONLY be a Truck/Canyon rifle that I don't have to put in a scabbard!!Side note! I wouldn't ever go longer than a 26 " barrel for hunting.. Darn hard to find a scabbard to fit once you put a brake on it.. I think 26 is plenty for the ole 28 Nosler.
I am also going to switch to VV N570 from H1000 on my 28 Nosler rifles, hope this proves to be a good choice.I will agree with that, I have one with a Brux #5 at 27" plus brake and another with a Proof CF Sendero at 28" plus brake. I have never looked back with the N570. It shoots good in my 6.5 Saum too... Really a great powder.. 10 lbs ought to last a little while.I am also going to switch to VV N570 from H1000 on my 28 Nosler rifles, hope this proves to be a good choice.
^^^^ What he said.. ^^^^Yes sir! I run 81.5gr of N570 behind a 195 Berger in ADG brass. Shoots 3030fps out of a 26" barrel. 1/2 MOA groups and the 195's are a freaking hammer on big bucks.
