Vortex Viper HS LR vs PST?

anyone with experience with both in 6-24x50? I'm curious if one is optically and mechanically superior to the other. I believe The PST is illuminated while the HR is not but am curious as to what other differences there are.

I did a search on the entire forums and found a bunch of threads on the Vortex scopes. Enough that I didn't read all of them.
I also went to Sportsmans outhouse and compared the PST 6x24 FFP with a few Leupolds. Both the VX3 and the VX-R line. I thought the Vortex glass was better over both, but that's in a store so not the best comparison. My son has a PST 1-4 and the glass in it is better than my Leupold mark AR 1.5-4 but it also cost more. I really like my Leupold though.
