I think he's complaining that his scope broke...just me thinking out loud here.

I'm not complaining about anything. I had 2 brand new scopes fail immediately. Not after months or years of use, while they still had their new scope smell. I'm just trying to put my experience out there to possibly help others

I accept your concerns and embrace your expectations regarding optics. If I was planning a once in a lifetime hunt I would demand perfection. If I wanted to harvest a doe for the freezer and wanted to save money I would accept my scope was broke and use my 303 like every other hunt previous.

The point is, you get what you pay for and sometimes you get a bit more. I think you get a bit more when you buy a Vortex.

I sold a Trijicon Accupoint 5x20x50 and purchased a Vortex Viper HST 6x24x50 and I found the vortex was far more superior in function, clarity, with Zero stop. They're customer service is second to none.

Leupold use to be my only scope to go but their warranty and customer service Sucks! Hence Vortex and never looked back.

Have two Diamonback Tactical scope on my NRL22 competition rifles and they work great. Was shooting a match out to 300 yards and messed up dialing back to zero so wanted a zero stop scope. Ran my Leupold VX3i LRP but frustrated over parallax down to only 50 yards. Was looking at the Strike Eagle or Nightforce NX8 and opted to got Tract Toric 4-20, it had all the features I wanted and am glad I went that way. Seriously considered the Vortex but happy I went Tract.

3rd scope failed. Below is a target with the first two shots taken with the scope. I adjusted down 4 moa from first impact at exactly 100.0 yards. The next impact was 7 inches below the first. 7. Inches. This is the exact same thing the last 2 scopes were doing. Now I'm awaiting a call from a scope "specialist" who is undoubtedly going to talk to me like I'm a moron. Either way, I'm done with this scope model and will be putting my money towards an Athlon instead

Looking at your target, you adjusted down 4, came up with 7 inches, but what I really notice is it looks like the scope it s not lined up with the bore. You are angled down 7 inches and not a straight 7 down. If you dial it back up four and shoot are you back to zero? If you dial it up four are you at 7 inches again and then still at an angle?

If this is the same behavior as the other scopes then it is perhaps something else? 3 scopes all acting the same "garbage" is obsurdly bad manufacturing and is extremely unlikely unless we are talkimg a $30 P.O.S. off Amazon.

Do you perhaps have an MRAD model? "4MOA" would be 16 clicks. 16 clicks on an mrad model is 5.76" at 100yrds. Combined with group sizes larger than one shot at each location, that seems to account.

Also have you verified the range is 100rds or is it a "100 yrd range"? My local "100 yard range" is 93 yards from bench to target. This drove me nuts testing tracking until I decided to laser it myself. If your "100yrd range" is more like 100+ this would level out the math even more. If you don't have a quality LRF, a simple tape measure can do just fine.
