I am selling my Remington 788 chambered in .243. I purchased this a while back from a family that the owner passed away. The family said they didn't believe he ever shot it. The gun appears that way. The bluing and bore are perfect no imperfections anywhere. The filler screws are still in the receiver as they were from the factory. Stock is 99%. If there is a flaw it is from being in a safe. I was going to set the rifle up and never got around to it.
Package Includes:
- Rifle
- 2 magazines
- weaver bases still in packaging
- Free Shipping

Package Price $700.00 shipped to your ffl dealer.

( I have this listed on Africa Hunting. Com as well)

Man if I didn't know I was getting dad's rifle just like this I'd be all over it. His 788 243 has been abused and beat on in ways that shouldn't be spoken of, yet is still the most accurate factory rifle I've ever laid my hands on.

Good luck with the sell man!

I have one that is a 243 I love it and would like to have another.
This year is the first time having the dreaded 788 safety/bolt release problems 😡
Hopefully it was just needing a good cleaning

Worst case I believe timney sells a trigger for these. We never had trouble with dads, but I've dang sure seen them with a non functioning bolt release.

I have owned a pile of these guns through the years and never had a lick of issues with them. I really wish you not discuss this stuff on my thread when i am trying to sell a beautiful vintage gun. There are forums for these discussions, not on someone's ad.

This gun is as in new condition as they get.

Thank you guys.
