I'm running N570 in my 264 WMI and 300NMI and can vouch for it being hard on throats.

Switch to 568 and I guarantee it will be just as accurate as 570 but barrel life will be better, you will probably loose a little speed but I've got it to shoot 1/4 m.o.a out a long ways in a 28 Nos with the 195 and my 30-28 and 215's.
You will have to go up a little more with 568 vrs 570 in your load im about 2 more in my 30-28

The Viht powders are right up there with the Alliant RL series as far as "magic pixie dust" that will give you more speed than whatever you're loading with now.
Try 550 in anything 308 to 30-06 sized case and pick up 100-150fps. More time under the pressure curve.
From my experience N550 gives within a few fps of what RL17 will do.

I should clarify I'm talking about the 500 series. It's double base.

The 100 series won't net any speed increases unless you weren't using the optimal powder in the first place.

Ha you- all don't want to start using Vihtavuori powders, especially the N 140, 540 ,550, 560, 570, 165, 170. I use all of them and they are no good. Send all of it to me and I will get rid of it for you.

Your not gonna get the speed with 568 as with 570.
When you say pressure out are you saying before you reached 570 speed.

Well yes and it's a significant difference. For example on my 300NMI N570 was giving me right at 3100fps with 230 grain bullets. N568 was in the low-mid 2900s before pressure signs showed up.

Interesting I got 3050 with the 195's 28 Nos and 3100 - 215's in my 30-28. H 1000 I was 86.5, 570 - 89.5 and 568- 91.5 all at virtually same speed.
I really think 568 shot better than 570 in the Nos ive shot with it, and I know for a fact the barrel ran cooler.
In my 30-28 568 is up into the neck I dont here it crunch but I dont have to use a drop tube.

I've got a buddies that is running like 2950, accuracy decent but I thought it would be faster.

I didn't try 570 in the 28, 568 worked so well thats when I decided to try it in my 30-28. The load for the 28 was with Nosler brass because the person I did load development for had a bunch of it.

There super stable until 70 degrees. They are also really dirty. If running suppressor id run hodgon.
