Velocity adjustment with sig kilo

Just to confirm...Data was inputed at sea level a few days before gun was shot at 4000' and reconfirmed velocity . zero range was 214 yards for gun and range finder.
Two range finders and shooter app said 2.5 moa @ 340 but we had to dail 3.5 and @ 540 range finders and app said 7 moa but we had to dail 8 moa.
I told my cousin i would write +1 on the range finder lens so he would see it while ranging and he was good to go..🤣🤣

ok , I would shoot over your chrony and input that info right there in the field . I just did one over this past weekend . I took a calculator and my tablet with the app . I let the range finder set for a little while to acclimate to the conditions . I shot 5 shots and put my ave velocity in the app . then I sync them . that should be all you need to do . you can let all the other info in the app if it's correct , just change the velocity . when you sync it should delete the wrong one and load the new one . let me know how it works out , I'm interested . I'm pretty new to this rangefinder set up .

I noticed that if my rangefinder sits in the direct sunlight it reads a higher temp than what it actually. Say it's 75 and clear skies and the suns up. When I first pull the rangefinder out of the truck, it says it's 75 out. 5 minutes later it might say 80 if it's left in the sun. 5 minutes after that it might say it's 90 out. I've had it be off because of that but not a whole moa at 300 yards. Or 340 or whatever the op stated.

I'm not sure what it was but today we reprogrammed all the parameters at 1100 foot elevation and it was fine. It might have been my cousin didn't save it correctly and it reverted back to 100 yard zero which would make sense for that one MOA off . We shot out to 720 i a bit of wind and was only 3 inches off. Will need to play with it with less wind.

I really appreciate all the help!!!

As an aside. Be careful in sunlight with a RF!. I had my Sig2400 mounted on a tripod inadvertently tip up with direct sunlight entering the lens. Thereafter, it produced erroneous data, and would not range beyond 200 yards.
