Just read a story where a van plowed into a crowd of people in Toronto ..... How many of these things have to take place before we see tougher restrictions on automobiles?

This should probably be in the general discussion section, but...
I made this analogy to a young lady (bit on the lib side) on a long plane ride. When she asked if I were military and I confirmed, she asked what do I think of civilians owning automatic rifles & high capacity magazines. Long story short; after explaining to her what the 2nd Amendment was for and that the rifle was a tool, I asked her if I went out and ran over 100 people with my truck would they ban Dodge 4 wheel drive trucks? Or high capacity fuel tanks? She thought that was silly and seen my point.

I know what some of you are thinking...yes they should ban dodge p/u trucks, but that's another conversation all together. :D

I guess it's time to ban powerful high-capacity vehicles with fully-automatic transmissions, and include better and more intensive background checks for those purchasing and leasing one...

I mean, seriously... Who NEEDS an assault van???

Vehicles?? Call them what they are. High fuel capacity killers. And they harm the environment. In one year they kill more people than all the mass shootings in the last 10 years. The auto industry is getting rich off of blood money. No one needs more than a horse. Ban the van.

The real question is, when are they going to call a spade a spade? Or... a act of terrorism, a act of terrorism?
