Not sure if your still on here but I'm interested in your post. I'm also from Cali and am planning on applying for southwest desert general season archery mule deer this 2017 archery season. I'll likely be going solo as well and was wondering if you could share any Intel from your experience last year. I'm going to try and make it out here for a scouting trip this summer but we'll see.
