Used to Hunt Near Here…

Made me think of a recent winter day when I was walking along an uplifted outcrop of Wyoming's famous Chugwater red sandstone. As I watched the wind blow snow over the red stone edge, it flipped a small slab of that sandstone off the edge of the outcrop and onto the fresh white snow. Never occurred to me until then that sometimes the wind actually separates those stone slabs off the parent rock! I always assumed it was frost action and gravity. When the wind is blowing rocks around how do you figure windage?
