Upgrading stock

Went out again this morning to play with some load dev with the field stock now on and again I'm impressed with it. For the cost it's certainly a nice piece of gear

OP, have you shot a chassis rifle before?

Personally, I hate chassis. Give me a nice CF stock all day long. Light, stiff, weatherproof, not cold like metal.
I have not. I'm VERY new to this. I hunted some ranches and shot out to 800 (with a guide) and I was hooked. I have a 800 yd range at my lease. So I'm building up my hunting rifle.

tried a relatively inexpensive chassis and didn't like it at all. McMillan and H-S Precision are my varmint/target/bench choices and wood is my carry rifle go-to. FUDDS have a hard time adapting to change...LOL

I've got an MDT LSS XL and really like it. It's definitely not lightweight at 11lbs, but I'm also running a 28" barrel on it. (EDIT: the whole rifle, scoped and loaded is 11lbs not the chassis itself!) I've also got a much slicker and lighter chassis (XLR Element Magnesium) that I prefer for hunting but it does kind of break the bank.

I also have a McMillan Game Warden 2.0. It satisfies a sweet spot as a great hunting stock but also having lots of the features I want for the range (raised reverse comb, vertical grip, thumb rest). I feel very confident shooting it long, it's not too heavy, and I picked it up on sale with no wait from McMillan. Dropped my barreled action in, no bedding, shoots the same size groups as my chassis. The adjustable version would be even better.
