Unexpected Results using RCBS Precision Mic

On a belted magnums the first new case firing headspaces off the belt. For reloading you headspace off the shoulder. I recently started using the Hornady gauges with better results. I just hate having spent $65.00 on a tool I will not use. The headspace gauge works perfectly but the lead nut is the problem I can't use it to set seating depth.

I do have a small update. I got the 7mm-08 Go Gauge and I'm able to chamber it, but it chambers with a little cam action on the bolt like all the other ammo I've tried. I did not take the extractor out of the bolt (because I'm afraid I won't get it back together), so that might be throwing off the feel.

Not removing the extractor and ejector will throw it off.
