no, the feed is a constant feed. the pin is to stop the flow so the tray can be removed.
believe it or not, I have a degree in electronics and computer science, I work as a electronic mechanical troubleshooter for a plastics operation. worked as a tool and die maker quite a few years ago and do all my machining manually. shop just got there first cnc lathe and a cnc mill all quick change tools. no one can run it yet. the machinest is intimidated by the electronics
the muzzle brake is aluminum and home made.
I make most all my jigs and fixtures for gun repair and I build a few rifles now and then.

I was going to say aluminum but erased it. I made one out of al before works fine, gets a bit corroded after a while, pitting and all.
