Turkish 25 Creedmoor

Absolutely stunning!!! But, what in the World is the fluting on the barrel? It's definitely something you don't see very often...

Cheers

The barrel came to me that way. I think they call it pins and needles fluting...

Joel Russo, where do you shop for wood at ? This piece is a solid ? Can't get enough of looking at it.

Solid piece of wood. I have a significant amount of blanks that I sourced over the years.

Joel, your talent takes stock making into the art world. I admire your work and I don't think I've ever seem one of your stocks that I did not like.
What do you use to cut the adjustable cheek piece loose from the main part of the stock? A thin bladed band saw? My "inquiring mind" wants to know.

A standard band saw blade is used to cut the cheek piece from the stock. Then a reshape of the comb is necessary as the kerf of the blade removes a bit of wood, and the cheek piece will sit lower when placed in the stock.
