In Michigan we cant plant food plots but we can plant "habitat improvement plots". DNR will ticket you for a food plot but the USDA will pay you to put in habitat improvements. Who says politics ain't funny.

I would imagine the difference is what is planted, what are you allowed to plant for an improvement plot

I've got a Kubota L2500 with a loader and hoe . it's a wonder piece of equipment to have around . I can't imagine being without it .

USDA gave me a two page list. Most is pretty standard food plot fare. Fescue, turnip, wheats, ryes. You do have to mix it though. No soy and corn.
