Hey all. In your opinion, What is the toughest, most stable base ring combo that you have used. I know alot of you will say "heck I always used weaver or millet or etc." and so have I. But I want the best, toughest, most stable rig out there. I spent 500 on the rifle, 600 on the scope so I am not afraid of spending money on a good system.

If you are going with a rail and ring combination then Nightforce rail and Nightforce or Seekins/Vortex rings. If not using a rail, Talley one piece rings/mounts. These are what I use exclusively. Also, bed the rail if using one.

Seekins Picatinny rail, Seekins rings.
Every rifle I own wears this combo (except those with integrated bases). From 6CM to .300RUM pushing a 230 Berger @ 3113.
Badger Ordinance are good too.

Spuhr and MPA make nice mounts.. Kelbys..Seekins..Barrett...make good rings.
Talley would be a second choice.

i would like to see more actions with the picatinny slots precision milled into the top and then mount the scope in Seekins rings. IMO with fewer connection points to secure the scope; there is less to go wrong.

Badger Ordnance or Near Manufacturing! Whatever you buy, try to keep them the same...i.e. Steel Base/Steel Rings or Aluminum/Aluminum.

I have one of those. I got a nice steel base from A. Brown some Seekins rings
with a Trijicon scope and it works great!

I have the same set up in the Encore and also a 7mm RemMag in a Pro Hunter barrel. I use Leupold rings a bases on the muzzle loader and Warne rings and bases on the 7MM RemMag. I prefer the Warne rings and bases, however used the Leupold rings and bases because I had them due to a takeoff from another set up that I'd bought. Never a problem with either set up.
Have had several encores and I have always run egw base and seekins rings. Never one issue at all with scope movement or loosing zero. That is a 50 cal muzzy also.
