Do you plan to keep it as a 25-06?
That's a great cartridge. But, you have to compromise a lot in bullet choices relative to others. ...particularly if you're looking at long range opportunities.
What twist do you have now and how does it shoot?
Why are you rebarreling?
1:10 twist is standard, but 1:12 will work for 90-100gr and below.
I have a 1:12 that shoots 1/2 MOA and better with 75, 87, and 89gr bullets. But, the little bullets just seem to run out of steam around 400 yds.
100gr opens up quickly to MOA and anything heavier/longer/vld is 1.25 MOA best case.
You should really consider 1:9 if you want to keep the cartridge and extend your range with VLDs.
I would really like to rebarrel mine to 6.5x284, 270 win, or 280 Rem, but I have several other projects in the queue as well.
