anyone running a tikka 1:8 243? If so how's the freebore for running the heavies? And how's the velocity.

This intrigues myself as well. My interest stems from the twist rate and will it stabilize 115's also and the freebore as well. Everyone talks of the 6 creedmoore and 6xc, me personally am leaning on a 243 AI as I have dies for it.

i shot one for a friend with factory loads and it shot really good but do not recall bullet weight.

I didn't know they did a 1:8 on the 243's. If they shoot as good as their 1:8 223's they'll be awesome.

I think it's been available for a few years now but I just don't think the popularity took off as planned do to the 6creed and 6GT. But that's just my guess

Correct for handloaders this is another good option tho.
