I would like to know the difference between the 309 &315 in chambering thanks

caliber please needed but the neck diameter is the main improvement you can get in chambering most chambering with redesign throat shoot better and tighter base body help too .

htanks dan i was wanting to buy a 308 barrel new fluted stainless shilen but the man said it was 309 that i may have a problem with fact. ammo could you exspiain thanks

309 ? for 308 cal regular neck is 0.344
match neck is 0.342 , minimum neck without neck turning is 0.340 ( commercial match ammo ) under 0.340 that neck turning 0.338 is nice to get clean neck

309 is a tight neck in 7 mm use for pure BR shooting , regular neck are in the 0.318to 0.320

better is to check with your dealer

The only 309 reference i can think of is either .309 bore instead of .308 or chambered in the 309 JDJ round??

308 barrel are 300 bore 308 groove some long range barrel are tight 298/3075 but that very specail barrel

use oversize barrel as 309 make loosy accuracy
