And no idea why.
Don't shoot them because I hate chasing brass.
Don't like the ergonomics (much prefer a svelte bolt or lever gun).

Bought them in part because I could and was (and still am) concerned that they might become more restricted or even prohibited. Voted with my pocket book.

Anyone else in the same boat?

yes, restrictions on the 2nd Amendment, violations against due process, packing the supreme court with international socialists who despise the Constitution.....all these things may and probably will happen, along with confiscations beginning with semis. With respect to history, what comes next always boils down to that pivotal moment when the choice is offered.
"surrender your weapons"

there can be only one of two possible responses.
either "I surrender" or
"come take them"

Nearly, I shoot mine quite a bit since I discovered 6.5 Grendel roughly 19 months ago.

That chambering really peeked my interest. I loath 5.56...so when that was about all I owned they just sat in the safe. I did build a 7.62x39 and shot a bunch of stuff with it. But I was shooting Wolf factory ammo which is not very impressive.

Once I found out about the 6.5 Grendel my bull barreled 5.56 became a 18" 6.5 Grendel...then I scrapped the 7.62x39 for a 20" 5R 6.5 Grendel. Next thing I know I building a 24" Grendel. That made me think about a possible night vision Grendel so I built a 16".

I was reloading for them and decided to build the 20" 7.62x39 back out and reload for it. The accuracy was crazy compared to the Wolf ammo, so I built a 16" 7.62x39 that ended up being my NV rig!

I try to not mistreat my bolt guns, so for the last couple weekends I drag out some of them for a little range time. Week before last week was 6.5 day...took two and last weekend I took three of my magnum rifles to the range.

But filling those magnum cases with 87gr of powder each...sure made me wish I was shooting one of the AR's (Grendel or 7.62x39) where each case only gets 29gr of powder.

I've shot the 16 and 24 inch Grendel's and 20" 7.62x39 out to 600yds proficiently on 10" steel plates.

I'm not too thrilled with my AR 300BO, it isn't cycling very well so I'm thinking to pull the piston system off it and go DI. It's super accurate but it short cycles all the time. A buddy talked me into building one to go with my newest creations. It was to get my can and NV to be a super hog killer...but that is going on a back burner for now!

So in summary my AR safe queens not only changed caliber they now see sun light on a regular basis now.

i own AR's is lots of calibers. a 9mm, 6.5CM, a bunch of 5.56's with different barrel lengths, a 6.5 grendel and half of a 762x39. you only have 3, keep them because there will be a push to ban or confiscate them. maybe not this year, maybe not in 5 years, but at some point there will be. i enjoy shooting them though, especially my creedmoor.

I own 4

6.5G, .300BO, .223/5.56, and a 9mm

I love them all. I need a scope for my 6.5G and my 9mm. I just had my .300BO built a couple of months ago. I have about 200 rounds through it so far. It shoots federal 150 grain FMJ into ~1.25 inches at 100 yards for 5 shots. I don't don't know why it shoots so well. I haven't tried any other ammo for it. It's just a good deer, hog, and steel banging gun.

I'm super excited for this Grendel though. The 9mm is a home defense SHTF fun gun. The .223 is a long distance target, deer rifle. Shot 3 deer with it so far. Performs alright for the ga woods. I love them all.

The one AR I did not enjoy were my AR10s. I sold two of them. The forward recoil impulse was just too much for me. It would **** me off how much it would jerk off target. It was like controlling two recoils.

Also, in spirit of the thread.

"Come and take them!"

;)

I have 3 uppers, and I enjoy shooting them. An 18in 223 wylde because everyone needs one right? A 7.5in 300blk pistol that's stupid accurate, and a riot to shoot. An 18in 6.5 Grendel that I just started breaking in today. The Criterion barrel is showing some promise. 6 different charges of 8208xbr under a 107 went under an inch and 3 under .5"

I am way behind you guys. I have 1. LaRue 18" stealth 5.56 and love it. I was thinking of 7.62x39 but then I decided I went with the real version on the AK platform and glad i did. I love my AK. Very accurate and way more then most will ever give this platform credit for. But it's new and I have a bunch of ammo for it and will do much better testing very soon.

But I am wanting a new AR now and it's the S&W 6.5 CM performance center. I want to top it with the Halo LR 50mm. Want to find out of LaRue QD will fit so I can take it off and on as needed without affecting accuracy.

I own quite a few even though i have a preference for bolt guns. I have them in 5 calibers. And i have several spare lowers. I like shooting them but hate cleaning them. I carried the "16/M4" version for 24 yrs at work so the mystique isnt there for me. I did buy one in 6.8 SPC during the ban for a crazy stupid price when i couldnt really afford it. Ill hold on to mine just in case...

The 350 legend has made my ar15 more interesting. Still don't love it. Shoots about 1.5 moa, which I'd never accept from a bolt gun. But at least it has some oomph.

The current political environment is showing its tyrannical side. Freedom of speech and gun rights(self defense) predate the constitution and are inalienable rights. If guns are the issue then charge the individual ar15 with the crime, like we do with people.

50 Beowulf a great thumper, 2 grendels, 6 8 spc 2, 223 wylde, older 5.56s , 6 5 Creedmore , ar 10 308 and now gun poor but have plans for maybe a 350 and some 338. The AR platform is so versatile, parts and up grades reasonable. Love my bolt guns as well. Biggest problem is scopes are expensive. Keep all the ARs and experiment with calibers and loads. It seems like there are about 30 to 40 different calibers around so lots of options .

Got a RRA tactical CAR and also a Varmint A-4. I like them both, and have fun handloading the later with the Sierra 77 grain TMK the way you guys taught me to!

One day in the future owning a firearm will be prohibited and socialists will have run the country into the ground but by then I will be dead. After 13 years of US Army service, I have done all that I could do; Vietnam War veteran.
