I hunt unicorns to sight in my thermal. If you miss, you can see the swirl through the rainbow, and when you hit, you can just ground check your zero.

Sorry, Cardboard and AC tape is best option.

Speaking of, Someone mentioned frozen water bottles. You could also use that one kind of beer,, pretty sure when you get dialed in, the results of an impact might be rainbow!!
