The wait for a Manners is worth it.

Ordered a Mcst on September 19th and just opened the box about 20 minutes ago. 221 days if I counted right. Long wait, but love the custom options and fit and finish is excellent.
Now I need to wait patiently for two more to show up.

I had a Mcmillan rem-hunter on it before this. It's a shooter, assuming it will be with the Manners too. It's easily a 1/2 moa gun with h1000 and a 200 grain eldx.

The wait is terrible...I hate seeing barreled actions sitting around with no stocks haha.

My mcs-t took 5 months. I ordered a PRS2 "flat top" mid December which supposedly take 4-6 weeks, ended up being 3 months. Take their quoted wait times, add a few months before you start getting anxious. Both stocks are great, don't get me wrong. ADG said 8 weeks for my Feratta thumbhole, on my doorstep in 7. There are other other quality options out there, ADG & JCS are a few.

My first Manners, a eh8 showed up in only 4 months. That set my expectations a little high, I think this long of a wait is more normal.

If you want to deepen the colors on the stock just a bit, hit it with a matte or satin clear coat. It won't be "shiny", but the CF and colors really get better. I have done the satin clear coat to 3 of mine.

i both love and hate your post. I've only just ordered mine so I'm glad to hear it's worth the wait but I was hoping my wait wouldn't be quite so long. Enjoy your new rifle sir. Looks awesome with the Manners

Really when you think about it--the wait is absolutely ludicrous. I do not know the business or how the process works--but know there are drying times and finishing...but i waited 6 months for one of mine...and 7 for another...I bought one from Iota...3 weeks....makes you wonder...I took over a business about 10 years ago--losing money--questionable customer service. With-in 2 years we were delivering on time--and sales doubled and our EBIT had improved 3 fold...I guess most of the guys have plenty of business--but I will not do a manners unless it is a flat top where the wait is 4-5 weeks and manageable.

i ordered a mcmillian target stock over 6 months ago with no delivery in sight !

they don't make the stocks in order of which they received. They will do a large run of one model. Then the next. Then the next, so on and so forth. I ordered two stocks at the same time once. Called at about 4 months to check and they said the t2a was done just waiting on the Eh1A. Took almost 5 more months to get the eh1A.

Tom and other manufacturers have a highly sought after product. As long as they have a back log they will always be making money.

I just ordered a blank Eh1 for my son. Don't know what exactly we are going to go with it yet as far as components so they will contact me when production is close for my specs. I also keep a deposit of some sort at my smith so my builds are quicker
