ooooh 90 gr .224
The 166 will more than likely exceed the 180s by Berger or Sierra. The 190s will approach if not exceed .9I just saw Hornady released the 7mm part of their A-tip line. 166 and 190 grain bullets. I'm expecting some big BC numbers from that 190
7mm(284). 153 is the max for the 6.5Holy Cow Batman , how long is a 190 grain .264 !! is there any room for powder in a SAMMI chambered rifle cartridge??
That's what I'm expecting as well. Man I'll have to bite the bullet(no pun intended) and buy some of those bad boys for my new 7mm buildThe 166 will more than likely exceed the 180s by Berger or Sierra. The 190s will approach if not exceed .9
They don't have to sell many at that price,. I can get some great shooting Sierra's for 1/3 the cost.yup, new offerings for 2020 include a 90gr .224, a 166 and 190gr .284, a 176gr .308, a 300gr .338, a 390 gr .375, and a 500 gr .416 a-tip bullet --i guess the 2019 offerings are selling good enough to bring more to market
I'm skeptical about hunting with these ones. They have a hardened core which isnt conducive to expansion. Not sure how these will be as hunting bullets. Most match bullets work well. Just not sure about these.
Ya that's what I mean. I'm gonna try some of the 90s in my 22-250 AI and see how they perform on ghogs out aways. Believe it or not, a big ground hog can really show how a bullet can perform at 800 yardsI'm skeptical about hunting with these ones. They have a hardened core which isnt conducive to expansion.
if it wasn't for the vapor trail you probably wouldn't even have known he been hit but you are correct he didn't hunch up much and I'm pretty sure he went a lot furthern 20 or 30 yardsHe went further than 20 to 30 yards... Didn't hunch up much at all and didn't suffer from hydrostatic shock from the bullet.
I guess Remington was on the right track with there bronze tipped bulletsDo you have a link to share?
Advertised BC of .332 (G7) on the 166 lower than the 162 grain ELD M and behind the Berger 180'sThe 166 will more than likely exceed the 180s by Berger or Sierra. The 190s will approach if not exceed .9
