The New Hornady A-tip match bullet

Because even according to their twist rate calculator they were stable at any sort of elevation. Now if you run it at 600' and 30°F which would be me shooting in the fall/winter to get to fully stable I'd need a 9. Even at marginal stability the bullets will still fly straight, just lose some bc. So they raised it back to 10 so they don't scare off potential buyers.
Oh come on, I'm betting it has to do with jacket integrity.

Looks like they are trying to get into the Berger game.
The ad at Hornady said they have very aggressive secant ogives but did not say hybrid as Berger uses that term extensively about their grand bullet.
I'll wait until someone gives it a try on game and see if it can in fact be used on game or is it just a paper puncher or even a full metal jacket type bullet.
Hornady said at shot show that great new things are coming this year and it looks like this may be one.
If someone gets and shoots them be sure to give a report so we can make decisions.

Do they work on game. 1st game kill. Hornady haters. Cost too much. Werewolves.
I love it!
Got the 6mm 110gr on back order...they just might, work on Lycans?!
Heeeyyyyyyy... Getting kinda dangerous in here ..lol

If a 180gr of lead can kill and elk, I would think 230 can. Some of the pieces of lead will be substantial even at higher velocities.

At least that is my thinking with 208 ELD-M rounds.

I think Hornady makes a nice seating die. I always fill my seating stems with epoxy to form a mold for the bullets I use; no markings from seating stem. Can use the same mold for similar olgives
That's a great idea, thanks for sharing.
