The effects of changing primers

Morning Red.....are you saying 7.35 U.S. was a good price....or it was a good price in Alaska! I know it's looking like a good price today....but yiokes?
Morning Skip. That $7.35 was US dollars, and I got them on sale because they had new packaging. It was only a buck lower per brick than the new boxes, but I bought them all. I think that was 1989. Bricks of 1000.

I think those primers were developed for AR's, not saying they won't work for bolt guns.
They don't work very good in bolt guns I was having trouble with them in my savage model 12 I have never had a primer not go bang until I tried them most of the time they would work but I had several that wouldn't so I had a buddy that shot a lot of service rifle so I traded him for small BR primers

Morning back Red.... unbelievable my friend! Thanks for the reply, appreciated! Now that's inflation...7.35 /1000 to 7.00/100....

I believe he's reffering to he bought 1000 for $7.35 which my last brick of 1000 CCI 250s cost about $33 pre-crisis - so it had to be many years before now he paid that price > now if that is per 100 than he's paying two times as much in AK pre crisis
Good call! As far back as i can go 1977-78....primers here were 15.00/1000 or 1.75/100. The past two to three years 5.99/100 and a month or two into the shortage South..the price went to 6.99/100 regular price. But I just bought a brick of 210 and one of 215 for 65.00

439D7285-9387-4A16-BBB8-5FFBE62E5D49.jpeg I found these that I bought many years ago. That's $7.30 per thousand. Posted in other thread, but seemed to pertain better here.

If we ever get back to the near the old normal, you need to hire a coyote to smuggle in primers.
