The BEST hearing protection for shooting.

If you can't tell I have a pretty strong option on ear protection because of what I have to live with for the rest of my life and if you think i'm bad you should ask my wife who want me to give up shooting all together because of what it has done to my hearing. I will never shoot anything gun again without have high quality ear protection. I am a huge fan of suppressors and I'm am lucky to live in Idaho where I have been able to order kits and make my own suppressors and all i need to to do it stamp (made in Idaho) and it's legal, but it doesn't do me any good if I go to another state and shoot in a competition so for that reason I have ordered 4 legal suppressors. The biggest thing I hope comes out of this form is that someone will listen to us old guys and learn from our mistakes and not have to go through life with the all to familiar Question? HUH, WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!!

only good if used with muffs.
Not really, never use muffs with them. Wear them all the time at work, 90-110 db pretty constant. Muffs just create echo and "seem" louder. I don't have any way to measure what the sound level is inside the muffs and if you wear safety glasses muffs are a waste. I've tried other foam ones but they don't seal well for me, these always have. I don't wear them hunting, but I don't waterfowl hunt and my shots are usually singles or maybe doubles and done. Hearing hasn't gotten any worse for many years.

I'm using the comply foam tips with TEP-200 industrial in-ear plugs. Trying the newer TEP-300 this spring if/when I go turkey hunting.

Now I shoot everything except shotguns with my suppressors.

I'm 56 and just started wearing hearing aids 3 weeks ago….

Also, a little tip to guys who have Cialis/tadalafil prescribed for everyday use due to enlarged prostate. Long term use can increase tinnitus.…

Crap what the point of living. Can't shoot, can't hear, Can't have sex!! Just shoot me please.

MOST HUNTERS WANT A DEPENDABLE PAIR OF EAR PLUGS THAT ARE INEXPENSIVE AND WASHABLE, MAYBE ON A LANYARD (CORD). IN VIET NAM WE OFTEN USED CIGARETTE FILTERS, WHICH CERTAINLY HELPED! I HAVE OFTEN USED SONIC II's IN THE PAST, WITH GOOD RESULTS. MANY RANGES NOW REQUIRE BOTH EAR PLUGS AND OVER-EAR MUFFS ALSO. GOOD IDEA!
