I like when people say "relocate them." This happens mostly with snowbirds who also like to leave food out for the coyotes and javelina. I myself suggest the five step process:
1.) Shoot the hell out of it.
2.) Chop its fricken head off.
3.) Chop it up into pieces.
4.) Burn the pieces.
5.) Bury the ashes.

You forgot "6.) Napalm the hell out of the burial location."
 
I'm not sure about diamond backs but I believe female timber rattlers down here have a light colored stripe running down the middle of their back.

When I see a rattler( whatever kind) that close I usually turn and run like hell and he or she can see the stripe running down the middle of my back. 😲
