Thanks. It's fun to shoot!! Yeah I did check out the legend and it looks good. I'll stick with what I got (too much $ involved) but for the states that have the goofy regulations if a guy wasn't invested in a gun/cartridge yet it would probably be the easiest way to go for compliance.

In my .300 Win Mag Ruger M77 MkII Stainless. I measured the group two ways. One, I measured outside to outside as it laid, and subtracted the bore diameter. On the 2nd measurement, I pushed the paper pedals back from the backside, measured OS to OS again, and subtracted the bore.

I'm sure I did something wrong that the old fellers will point out, but I'm happy.

Off the shelf. I haven't had time nor space to setup for handloading again. I needed something to hunt with this year. It seems like I seen the link here, and ventured off browsing. I liked the look of their stuff, or more, I liked that it's all hand loaded. They treated me very well. They actually waived my shipping on my first order. I also got my son some 7mm-08 loaded with the 120 Nosler BT. Sadly, he got some bad grades, and has not been able to shoot his yet I know, mean dad.

HCA is $1100, Carbon 6 is $815 for what I want. I'm still waiting on a quote on a Proof barrel. I've used a few prefit McGowen barrels on Savage rifles and most shot better than me, so it's a known quantity for me. Though I can't imagine the others being bad barrels either.

He got his Christmas Gift early. Which was the Ruger American Go Wild edition, in 7mm-08. The idea was he would get to hunt with it this season. He hasn't gotten to even fire it due to math grades. He is 15, and thinks hes 25, but I guess that's normal.
