Anyone know anything about availability of Federal's Terminal Ascent Bullets?

Been looking for them and are back ordered or overdue.

Just heard about them from a friend and would really like to try them out. Looks like the best solution to all ranges large animal hunting I like (elk, moose, brown bear!)

An evolution of the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw, IIRC.

Those were great bullets. They still preform to a high standard when it comes to expansion and penetration, especially when it comes to medium game like moose and elk.

Not really designed for the long rangers though... Low BC and very controlled expansion (not great at low velocities), but for moderate range, moderate velocity, moderate target resistance, the TBBC was/is a great option!

No experience with the new federal stuff myself - had a couple of hunters use Fusion ammo and results were encouraging (compared to the old federal classic.. yuck..)

They were available as reloading components back in 2020 and I was able to acquire 500 pcs of the 175 gr in 30 cal but was too late to to get the 200 gr, the 175 gr worked extremely well on moose at 3500 fps from a 300 RUM View attachment 397199....
Swamp Lord, what powder did your seem to like? What jump did you find effective? I bought a ton of these when available and didn't get great results in groupings. Went back to the Accubond.

I'd love to try something that works!

I used the Reloder 26 load data from the data card that came in each box, Federals velocity shown is with a 24" barrel, mine is a factory 26", the max load did show some pressure signs in my rifle & I backed off a bit, Magnetospeed V3 chrono for velocity reading & 100 yard 3 shot groups were around 3/4" ave. with some a bit tighter, not too bad for a Rem factory barrel in the LSS stock model

Thanks! I'll give it a try. Did you use their OAL?
