A few months back I glommed a 24X Japanese Tasco target scope. I was very favorably impressed with the clarity and sharpness of the scope as well as its ability to hold and return to zero.

Since then I've been keeping my eye out for the Japanese made Tasco scopes. I recently glommed a 36x44 Japanese made Tasco target scope at an estate sale. This one is in great condition, comes with 2 sun shades, the original box and paper work and even the original MidwayUSA receipt.

Anyone know whether Tasco still backs the lifetime warranty on these scopes?

Call them directly.

Back in the day, I took a lot of varmints and some game with the old 1970's and early 1980's 6-18x and 6-24x BDC Japan Tasco's, and an old 36x rode atop an old 222 BR rifle for several years. Maybe I got lucky, but those old scopes were fairly clear and worked very well. I still have the 6-18x and 6-24x BDC in the shop, and they are still as clear today as then.
