Swarovski X-5i 3-18x50

Having missed opportunities at 600 yards in Turkey, Canada, and TX we decided to bite the bullet... Just got the new Swarovski for our shop gun...Any advice as to whether to use a Kestrel and dial for shots or have them cut a turret for gun and load to just dial yardage?

I'm a reticle kinda guy so my opinion is slightly suspect but the reason I never believed in turrets is that CONDITIONS change. Sealevel in heavy air to 10k at 10 degrees is a completely different deal. If you have to fudge for atmospherics, whats the point in a CUSTOM dial? Ya still have to adjust for conditions. Might as well use the Kestrel.

Kestrel and dial for shots, custom turrets are a waste of money..
