I still own a nostalgic Carl Gustaf 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser (designed in 1891 and produced in 1894), older than our venerable .30-06 (produced in 1906). I also have a semi-custom .264 WM (designed in 1959) to complement my 6.5 CM (designed in 2007).
