Sufficient minimum muzzle diameter for Suppressors

The differences are exactly why I'm asking.

If 0.100" over the threads, then why is ~0.730" not enough?

It absolutely is. If you look up thunderbeasts' threading chart, they show 0.725 as min muzzle diameter for 5/8 threads.

I decided to have a collar put on mine because the Tikka factory barrel is only 0.630ish at around 22" and I wanted a 5/8 thread, no thread adapter, and wanted to keep as much length as possible.

Sorry if I made that confusing in my first reply.

Tbac thread chart below. Tried to highlight the 5/8 line. 0.725 min barrel diameter recommended.

I have 9" DD Entice Lti on a .700 muzzle. You don't need a shoulder to hold alignment of a suppressor if the threads are cut with a few tenths of clearance and sufficient engagement length, and a self locking taper is way better than a 90 deg shoulder for getting a suppressor to lock up.

I run a QD mount off the threads anyways, I was just trying to understand what was accepted as minimum diameter.

I'm no machinist or PRS champion but I think your 0.700" would suffice in real world applications.

I don't have one in my hands,
But if 0.012" is the taper per inch for the #3, then the .670" + 5 x 0.012" should net 0.730", which would be above the 0.625" + 0.100".
I believe if you order a 3B, the muzzle diameter will be 0.700" as listed as muzzle diameter at the specified length on the chart (26") irrespective of barrel length. What I mean is that a 3B barrel will be .700" at the muzzle no matter what length you order. That taper number only applies to ordering a full length barrel and cutting it shorter.

Just picked up four barrels last week from them. I can verify when I get home this evening.

Left 3 are all 3B; 20", 28", 26". Right one is a three contour at 26".

A 3B will be .700 at whatever finished barrel length you order. They come an inch long at the muzzle end. This gets cut off as it may be out of spec due to lapping I think.
I assume the only 3Bs "in stock" at a reseller will be 26" finish length; that's typical.

In fact, I was unaware that the Profiles were length dependent save a custom ordered barrel.

Thats why I'm asking on the specific barrel posted what the diameter is at 21".

A new finish length 26" is just over 27" when it comes from the barre maker.
