Has anyone chambered a Sherman 6.5 MAX barrel 16" long? I know it sounds stupid and seems to be cutting the legs right out from under a round that thrives on a LONG barrel, but.......... just wondering. I have a new Bartlein Sendero 7.5 twist that I will cut to 28" first just to see what velocity I get but I'm thinking of chambering the 6.5 Creedmoor takeoff barrel to 6.5MAX and whacking it to 16" and put my Thunder Beast 9" Ultra on it.
