Man I could crush a good home made Stromboli right now. The best on I ever had was from a littler shop across the Susquehanna river from Wilkes-Barre, PA in Kingston. That was 1977 & 78.

Six years ago in Philly!
I was raised in NE PA outside of Wilkes-Barre in Bear Creek Township. There was so many different ethnic groups of people and the BEST foods in the world. Pittson. PA was a lot of Italians with the best pizza and other Italian food. Then all the groups of people around Wilkes-Barre. German, Irish, Polish, Slovak. Pigs in the blanket (ground beef, rice wrapped in cabbage) Perogies, Kielbasa, and then all the Italian foods.
My mom taught Jill how to make most of the foods, but it is a lot of work making from scratch!
I also lived in Waterford, New London, CT. Those mom & pop shops make the best Grinders and Pizza.
