IMO, the brass is ruined.
Brass wants to go where it's been, and it will.

one piece of brass each not too scientific used glass bead sand blast.i think the brass may have less internal volume, causing increase in pressure
Not sure about an official ladder but I normally start in the middle of what I derive from several sources powder charge. 140 gr bullets for instance Hodgdon max 40.2, nosler is 41 and sierra 42, sierra's 142 gr bullet maxs out at 42.3 go figure. Did not consult hornady because all that is available is PDF with 1 load for 6.5. you are correct it just happens to be 140 eld. Start 020 off lands and step in 003 until happy. How did you arrive at 42.0 gr @ 0.002 off the lands?
Did you develop a ladder with seating depth adjustments to arrive at 42.0 @ 0.002 or was this your starting load?
Hornady manual shows the 140 ELDM H4350 max at 41.5 gr. at 2.800 OAL.
2840fps give or take a fewback off load, your pretty hot
That's pretty fast for a Creedmoor. What's your barrel length?2840fps give or take a few
Hornady has their factory stuff at 2710 with a 140gr ELD-M. I'm not saying that you shouldn't be able to get more than them but you're pushing it at 130 fps more. I'd have to agree that you're over pressure.2840fps give or take a few

chamber is very smooth and clean, smother than the 4 other shilen barrels that have been on that gunHow's the chamber look? Is it smooth?
Those measurements don't tell you WHERE the brass is heavier. If the walls are heavier/thicker throughout compared to the others, then pressure WILL be higher regardless of the internal capacity.one piece of brass each not too scientific used glass bead sand blast.
fired brass resized with same body die.
star line weighed 165.1 held 82.9gr blast
nosler 164.4 held 79.1
peterson 174.7 held 81.5
peterson and nosler within 1.5 of the 10 each I sampled
star line, not so good
