Yeah if not specified it's usually default to max power. In the way back machine when we had much less selection in quality repeatable dialing and ffp optics this was much more thought about. I had a scope or two that were in the 6-18 range that the manual said holds were calibrated for 15x. But my guess is if not specified it's max power.
Kinda an odd choice to put a tree on a scope with a 8x erector. SC moar reticle is not a terrible reticle in the right platform. Sadly burris/steiner put it in some odd choices. In ffp it wasn't really usable below 4x, or it wasn't in the 3-15 and 2-10 I've used.
Kinda crazy in sfp, the holds at 4, 16 and 32 power will be so wildly disparate it would seem to call for a simplified plex.
