Anybody ever try mounting one near tent as an added precaution for unwelcome night visitors? I saw a few at local Costco and this thought came up for tent defense at night.

Seems like a good idea. I've been working on lighting in my own backyard and settled on the set below along the fence behind our pool.

Regardless of flood vs constant low light, I'd run them at home to make sure they will perform as expected.

But I myself might prefer a ring of lights that are relatively dim.

Electric fence would be my choice way, way before any light. The fence will work and the light most likely not.

Light comes in, bear roars and hesitates at electric fence giving you time to shoot accurately.

As I remember they are kinda loud, so sleep with hearing protection. Set at least 20 yards away.
