I'm new here. Does anyone have experience sighting in a thermal imagine scope. I have a Trijicon REAP 2 60 on a Barrett REC 10 AR10 platform.
I saw a you tube Target with aluminum reflective tape on cardboard. Looked pretty good good and could be done in the daytime.Skip the hand warmers and use ducting tape. (not to be confused with normal duct tape that fixes everything) Its shiny and easy to see in the middle of the day with a thermal.
That's a good ideaI use an ice cube in a ziplock bag.
ThanksUse the aluminum tape but it works best if you tip back the target a bit so it reflects the sky.
ThanksUse a steel target after you heat it up with a propane torch.
Stays hot a long time and east to see hits. Heat it from the rear and the paint on the target isn't scorched or discolored.
I did use some aluminium duct tape on cardboard which did work in the daytime
