Short*ish* barreled 6.5 PRC or 6.5 Saum?

So I made it out today and shot retumbo, rl26, and h1k with 215's and 147's. My coal was 2.998 which .040 off. Virgin brass and testing in .5 grain increments to see where approx max charge is and breaking in the barrel. I am pretty sure it'll settle in around 2900-3000 and thinking 2950 is likely where it'll settle in. If a guy goes 140 then 3k is a definite. Anyway I noticed I was getting some pressure with retumbo over 2900 and h1k and rl26 were not yet.

Was shooting 350 and just seeing how they grouped for giggles. I love the sound of steel and hate shooting paper

I've got a 6.5 PRC with a 22" proof for my TBAC U7. Don't have a chronometer but the idea was to get the speed with a shorter length.

If you were in Mich I'd have you chronometer it.

Following closely as this is exactly what I am looking to build!
I failed to test more this past weekend as I ran out of time. I will get it done soon tho. I want to get all this brass 1x fire and barrel seasoned so when my TL3 comes in there is no dinky around. Assemble, zero, shoot.

Brent, curious if you have some more real world data on that 22" PRC? I'm debating between that and a 20" and after a quick chat with gunwerks yesterday it sounds like they've had good luck with both lengths but we didn't get into the ballistic details.

I have loads for 135, 140, 143, 147, and 156.

135 and 156 have been my main focus. 135 is running 3090 and 156 2910. Shot both out to 1000 and both shoot. 135 right now is my choice for predator. Hoping to get on a wolf. Had 2 cross in front of me today but couldn't catch up to them.
