Love my 2 xbolts but the Eclipse Hunter came in a 7.4 lbs instead of 6.4 as advertised. I thought it would be the same weight as my standard xbolt Hunter with walnut stock that I find light and nimble in the mountains. They both shoot handloads better than I can.

I'd say yes it is, gives you more options for different bullets.

So, what grain bullet works "best" with it? I shoot factory 180s out of my current rifle.

Best is hard to say but i would first try 215 bergers, or have the option for even bigger. You can shoot smaller but with the faster twist it at least gives you options for bigger.
