Seller’s Have you ever bailed on a deal in classifieds?

I got a bad feeling on a deal but did NOT back out. BIG friggin mistake. Should have listened to the warning signs and my gut. About 2 years later, fairly similar scenario, backed out of deal and was polite about it. When buyer got very aggressive and pushy I explained to him that this type of aggressive behaviour and his previous behaviour is precisely why I wanted no part of dealing with him. He was NOT happy but at least I didn't have months of problems with him after the sale.

My trades are all on Canadian sites but we have assholes here too.

That's the vibe I'm getting. Aggressive tone. Appreciate your feedback

Yes. Both from selling and buying standpoint. I made sure it was all in pm and did report it to admin with specific reasons why I backed out.

Funny.... never heard from the parties involved after that either....

They are aggressive because that is their last resort to guilt you into doing something you aren't comfortable with.

I don't believe I've ever bailed on a deal. I've never sold anything. So guess I'm trying to say I have never I've never backed out on a agreed upon deal and haven't had anyone back out on me. I try to approach every transaction in a friendly manner and remember that it's the sellers item they have the right to sell or not sell to me. They can ask anything they want for the item, if I feel it's more than I wish to pay, Thank them for their time and move on. No need to try and point out anything, it's their item. The one thing I have noticed lately is being interested in an item, sending a PM and never getting any kind of a reply. Just scratch the back of my head and move on. Figure maybe the good lord is looking out for me. Have a nice day everyone.
