I've never tried to sight in any centerfire at 25 yards, in my whole life.....
I think a lot of guys here are sincerely trying to help you out. I don't think bigger targets are the answer.Could not Wild rose but I have some big targets order and taking a 6 foot tall cardboard by 4 foot to help me out more
And he is so correct on that for sure, 1.5-3" is right on @ 100, I always set up my scopes to be 1 1/2" high @ 100.The old rule in the Army for a quick and dirty zero was 25=250. Get it on at 25 and you'd be 1.5-3" high at 100yds.
I set mine all up for 350 because it's extremely rare to get a shot at anything closer in my part of the world at least they way I hunt. And he is so correct on that for sure, 1.5-3" is right on @ 100, I always set up my scopes to be 1 1/2" high @ 100.
Good one.... Pop guns? that lowly 204 pipsqueek popgun shoots flatter at 600 with budget/bulk 40 grain vmaxes, than a 6.5 PRC shooting 147 eldms. Texans, sheesh.....I set mine all up for 350 because it's extremely rare to get a shot at anything closer in my part of the world at least they way I hunt.
If I don't have time to dial keeps me in a zone I can live with to about 600yds with everything other than the pop guns like the .204 and the .375's.
Set the corn feeder closer to the shooting house......rare to get a shot at anything closer in my part of the world at least they way I hunt.
My "shooting houses" are dams, bushes, mesquite trees, and the occasional wood pile. I get bored fast in blinds.Set the corn feeder closer to the shooting house......
At 600yds the .204 Ruger has the energy of a fly swatter. I have one of the first .204's built by CZ so it's only chambered for the 36-38gr bullets and has a 1:12tw so forget the higher BC 38-40gr pills.Good one.... Maybe you wouldn't get bored in one of mine you can see a long ways . I put that up on my ranch in West Tx 2 yrs ago it now has a stair case .My "shooting houses" are dams, bushes, mesquite trees, and the occasional wood pile. I get bored fast in blinds.

You don't need to spend lots of money, go buy some of the rolls of that cardboard stuff they put down on new floors in new homes, it's heavier than target material and you can cut as much as you like then just put some sticky dots on it, or tape a target on it,Could not Wild rose but I have some big targets order and taking a 6 foot tall cardboard by 4 foot to help me out more
