I have a Tikka T3X in 6.5 PRC. I bought a new Leupold VX-6HD 3-18x50 to go on it and had issues with it losing zero. Got it back from their warranty service and have decided to replace it.
I hunt whitetail in Alabama and often shoot inside of 200 yards, but might occasionally reach out to 500-600 yards. I've got a budget of about $2k and don't plan on buying for a few months. I also don't mind to buy used if I find a good deal on something. Below is a list of things that I'm looking for in the order of importance:
1. Hold Zero
2. Glass quality & light transmission
3. Quality Turrets that track well
4. Parallax Adjustment
5. Illuminated Reticle
6. Reasonably Lightweight
7. Fairly simple reticle
I'm looking for a FFP or SFP, MOA scope. I've given the NF NX8 4-32x50 F1 MOAR some thought, but wanted to see what everyone else recommends.
