My new Cooper 6.5x284 came with Warne bases and I haven't bought a scope, rings and bases forever.

What do you guy recommend for rings? I'll putting a Leopold VX-6 3-18x50 scope on it. I was thinking just to get the Warne rings for it since it came with the bases already mounted but thought I'd ask the question before I pulled the trigger.

Thoughts?

Thanks guys.

Greg.

I am now a big fan of the warne mountain tech rings. I have them on a few rifles now with zero issues or complaints. I have some for sale in the classifieds i don't need if interested in trying them.

It's very hard to beat TPS rings. They are for sale just about everywhere including Len's LRH store.

He turned me onto them years ago and I couldn't be happier with the quality or the price.

Best of all they are self aligning when properly installed and thus require no lapping.

I really like the Burris signature Zee rings, you can add/subtract MOA using the ring inserts, completely eliminates the need to lap your rings and ensures you won't have any pressure points on your expensive scope that could cause ring marks.

You can zero your scope in the middle of it's travel and bore sight it to within a few inches using the inserts, and if you want you can use them to get the perfect amount of cant to your scope for long range. If you have a scope with a lot of travel and want 40 MOA of cant, but have a 20 MOA base, that is easy to do. If you have a 20 MOA base but don't want any cant, you can reverse it as well. They are about the most versatile ring on the market.

+1! The XTR can give you up to 40 MOA without canted base ... and they are solid.

Another +1 for the Burris signature Zee rings. They also eliminate the need for a rail at all. This is a huge plus because a rail always raises the scope to the point where you cannot get good cheek weld without adding some sort of cheek rest.

Thanks for the feedback gentlemen.

I think I'll head to Cabelas in Lubbock next week and see what they've got in stock.
