Seems some low life hacked my account and figured out my password --soon as a member PM'd me--the Hacker got on to answer.

I changed my password-hopefully this helps, if it does not---LRH will be a mess.

Usually people use the same username across websites, and often the same password. A website will get hacked, and the hacker will download a list of usernames and passwords. They can search for other uses of that username, and then try the password to see

I had my account on another forum hacked last year, the hacker was able to list and "sell" several items under my name in a matter of just a few hours that amounted to several thousand dollars. Not really nickels and dimes there. The guy scammed some serious money in a very short amount of time.

Folks, might I recommend you go into your password and security section and close all your open sessions. If someone has hacked your password and you see an open session that is not the one your using, close the session(s) and get a new password ASAP.

More of a mess for the other guys, luckily one of the listings was flagged and a mod locked my account. The guys that got burned were understanding enough that it wasn't my fault. Sucks all around for everyone though.

Use a different password for EVERY forum. Don't make up dumb passwords like "Deerhunter123". A strong unhackable password is something like this:
hP7$wUv!2pJ!2h7W$, as an example.

Scum bags seem to be everywhere. Cyber crime is prevalent, but I never hear anyone being caught and being brought to justice. We need to attack this problem with vigor and serious consequences for the perpetrators.
